Five lessons I’ve learned (so far) after 10 years in this business

  1. Give your best to every brief. Yes, even that banner ad with suggested copy from a marketing manager.

  2. Don’t pitch for approval. Pitch to make the best work.

  3. Creativity is a team sport. Be a good partner to everyone.

  4. Some people have no taste for good ideas. Plan accordingly.

  5. There is always hidden VO talent on your team.

No brief is too small or too nebulous. I love what I do, am radically optimistic about the power of creativity, and am happiest when working with people who feel the same way.
