Sandy Cohen was murdered in July 1986. He was a closeted gay Jewish man, a respected city commissioner in Covington KY, and the unofficial uncle to a dear friend of mine.
For 40 years, Sandy’s story went untouched. His murder was solved, his family grew and grew up, but the memories and accounts of what really happened leave much unresolved.
Our Friend Sandy is our attempt to honor him. It is currently in production.
